What's in a frame?
Have you ever considered why people put things in frames? There are so many reasons. You might have a painting that really speaks to you and want a frame that both compliments the colours and is worthy of the artwork.
Or it could be a wedding photo, a baby scan or a graduation portrait. Merely by framing it, you are emphasising what a special moment this is to you. And of course, by displaying it in a frame, you get the opportunity to be reminded of that special moment every single day of your life. Often several times a day.
Maybe it’s a piece of memorabilia from a band or a sports team. A simple, in many ways ordinary, object with the magical ability to transport you to a time and a place where you were part of something. Something bigger. Something special. And you can’t shove something like that away in a draw or a cupboard. It has to be framed. In a frame it can be seen. It can work its magic. And it can be protected.
Because the things we frame are in many ways milestones in our lives. And if you frame them properly, you frame them once. That way, they become a permanent source of joy and comfort in your life, they help turn new houses into new homes if you move and they will pass down the generations for years to come.
